Welcome to Sewak Welfare Society (Regd.)
Most humbly it is submitted that foundation of Sewak Welfare Society was unwittingly laid by two of its members, Jasvinder Singh and Surjit Singh, Delhi in 2008. They went to Dadri for arranging Gurmat Prachar but on seeing the Sikligar Sikhs living in inhuman and unhygienic conditions, decided to provide education and healthcare to them on priority . Their children numbering about 27 were admitted to a nearby school and all necessary books and stationery, uniform etc were arranged.
Sewak Welfare Society is currently sponsoring the private school education of about 162 children belonging to 10 different villages in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
ESP is a humble effort to make a difference in the lives of Sikligars - our culturally rich artisans, ironsmiths and locksmiths, who are economically disadvantaged and have been left behind in the race of time. Their insufficient monthly income combined with large families, accounts for abysmal living standards.
Under the Education Sponsorship programme, our children are sponsored to go and study in the nearby private schools. Sewak Welfare Society focusses on better education, skill-building, career orientation and job opportunities.
Your contribution will be spent on the admission fees, annual school fees, examination fees, school bag, school books and stationery, two sets of uniform –winter and summer, shoes, socks, and all other needs of each child during the year.
